Five Things You Can Do Right Now to Find the Meaning of Your Life and to Personally Help Heal the Worlds

At this time on earth, something new is attempting to be born-a higher consciousness is struggling to emerge. This consciousness, and the force behind it, is coming from the upper World of Creation. In the Kabbalah, the mystical tradition within Judaism, this world is called Olam haBeriah

It is a consciousness that has the potential to uplift and transform, sweeping away our traditional concepts of duality, division, and separation, in a great spiritual awakening. In this birthing process there are both positive and negative forces at work and there is obvious destruction. The coming times, however, need not bring unending suffering or relentless violence.

It is a central teaching of Kabbalah that, in addition to influencing our physical world, every soul has the ability to influence the spiritual worlds above. These worlds play an important role in determining unfolding events on earth. Thus each one of us can effect the future in ways far beyond what we ordinarily think possible.

The forces being unleashed upon our planet are beyond the control of any institution, state or government, and it is now up to each of us to direct the future. No matter who we are, what we have been taught to believe, or how insignificant we may feel, this is the real purpose of our lives; this is why we are here. What People are Saying About Shulamit's New Book

Kabbalah of Prayer

Sacred Sounds and the Soul's Journey

"It is a joy to read a thoughtful and lucid book such as Kabbalah of Prayer, a book which presents Kabbalah in its myriad forms...Elson has the rare ability to present difficult concepts, such as the five levels of the soul, in ways that are simple without being simplistic...In helping us to rediscover the power of sound in a kabbalistic framework, Elson has made an important contribution to the current state of Kabbalah.  Review in Parabola Magazine (Winter 2004) by Rabbi David Koningsberg,  Associate Rabbi, New Synagogue in New York City.

"No mystical tradition better explores the intersecting mysteries of the human character and divine presence than the medieval Kabbalah and no writer offers a better primer in its contemporary practice and understanding than Shulamit Elson." Professor Bruce Chilton, Executive Director, Institute of Advanced Theology, Bernard Iddings Bell Professor of Religion, Bard College.

"Only a great teacher can convey such wisdom with so light a touch; only a great    healer can penetrate the soul with such grace. I can not recommend this book more highly." Roger Woolger, Ph.D., co-author of The Goddess Within.

"Accessible as well as deeply engaging....this wonderful book is universal in its expression and appeal, and it is of value to the followers of any spiritual path." Swami Atmarupananda, Ramakrishna Order, Spiritual Director, Vivekananda Retreat, Ridgley.

"One of the clearest distillations of Jewish spiritual teaching I have ever read. Rather than shine light on the Kabbalah from the outside, Shulamit Elson shines a light that illuminates the Kabbalah from within." Rabbi Jonathan Kligler, Woodstock Jewish Congregation.

"Kabbalah of Prayer is a thing of beauty. With its astounding directnness and simplicity, it is real teaching, from one human soul to another." Deborah Lawrence, President, Friends of the Institute of Noetic Sciences.

"Kabbalah of Prayer is an innovative and exciting approach to Jewish spirituality. This book can not only help reshape how Jews approach prayer, but it can also serve as an accessible entry-point into the world of Jewish spirituality. Shulamit Elson's story is one that can touch all our hearts and souls." Rabbi Joshua Grater, Pasadena Jewish Temple and Center, Pasadena, California.
